The sticking points aren’t limited to salary alone. Vinicius wants roughly €30 million per season. Madrid’s latest offer sits around €22 million. There’s also disagreement over:
- A renewal bonus, something Madrid have never paid before
- Image rights distribution
- Comparisons with Kylian Mbappe’s overall package, which includes a massive signing bonus from his free transfer in 2024
