The transfer window never sleeps. And right now, it’s whispering a name that’s got Arsenal fans sitting up: Endrick.
The 20-year-old Brazilian forward is reportedly available to leave Real Madrid this summer, and Arsenal are among the clubs watching closely. According to The Sun, the Gunners admire the young striker and could look to take advantage of his uncertain situation at the Bernabéu.
But here’s where it gets interesting. This isn’t just idle speculation anymore.
Roc Nation Pushing for a Premier League Move
Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon reported on August 7 that Endrick’s representatives at Roc Nation are actively working on securing him a loan move to the Premier League. Real Madrid have reportedly agreed that a temporary exit makes sense, especially after signing both Carlos Espí and Yan Diomandé this summer.
Those arrivals, combined with Vinícius Júnior’s contract renewal and the addition of Bernardo Silva, have stacked the attacking deck at Madrid. There simply isn’t room for everyone.
It’s a familiar story for Endrick. He struggled for minutes under Carlo Ancelotti in the first half of last season. That led to a January loan at Lyon, where he rediscovered his spark. His numbers in France tell the story:
- 8 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions
- 5 goals and 7 assists in 16 Ligue 1 matches
- A hat-trick that reminded everyone of his ceiling
- A place in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad
Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit didn’t hold back when discussing the youngster’s potential. He told reporters he’d love to see Endrick at Arsenal, adding that the Brazilian is talented and gifted but needs the right environment to develop.
So why doesn’t Endrick just stay and fight for his spot?
He tried. Reports from The Athletic and Goal.com confirmed that Endrick initially wanted to remain at Madrid and compete under José Mourinho. The Portuguese manager had even praised his attitude during preseason, where Endrick scored in the 2-2 friendly draw against Fiorentina.
But football’s a numbers game. And Madrid’s numbers don’t add up in Endrick’s favour right now.
Why Arsenal Makes Sense
Arsenal’s attacking situation is shifting fast. The champions are open to selling Gabriel Jesus, whose value has been pegged at around £18-20 million by David Ornstein. Gabriel Martinelli‘s future is also up in the air, with The Athletic reporting that Mikel Arteta has considered moving him on as part of the squad’s next phase.
Leandro Trossard has already been sold. And while Viktor Gyökeres is staying after Arteta’s confirmation, his debut season wasn’t entirely convincing despite 21 goals in all competitions.
Arsenal need depth. They need options that can grow alongside the squad’s ambitions. Endrick fits that profile.
He’s 20. He’s left-footed. He can play as a centre-forward or off the right. His Transfermarkt valuation dropped to €25 million in December 2025 but bounced back to €40 million after his Lyon loan. A temporary deal could be a low-risk, high-reward move for the Gunners.
There’s competition, though. Manchester United and Aston Villa have also been linked. United, in particular, could use a backup striker behind Benjamin Šeško.
The Clock Is Ticking
The Premier League season kicks off on August 22, and the transfer window shuts on August 31. That’s a narrow runway for any deal to come together.
Arsenal haven’t yet turned their reported interest into a formal approach. But with Roc Nation actively shopping Endrick around England and Madrid willing to let him go on loan, the pieces are in place.
Could Endrick end up at the Emirates? It’s far from done. But it’s no longer far-fetched either.
For a club that won the league last season and wants to stay on top, adding a hungry young forward with World Cup experience and something to prove might be exactly the kind of move that keeps the momentum rolling.
