Arsenal Extend Emirates Sponsorship to 2033: Full Deal Breakdown

Arsenal News on Emirates Sponsorship Extended in Record-Breaking Agreement

Arsenal confirmed on Thursday that their partnership with Emirates has been extended through to 2033. It’s a deal that keeps one of football’s most iconic commercial relationships alive for over a quarter of a century.

And the timing? It couldn’t be better.

Twenty Years and Counting

The Emirates name has been sewn into Arsenal’s identity since 2006. That’s when the Dubai-based airline first appeared on the front of the shirt and lent its name to the club’s new stadium in north London.

Two decades later, it remains the longest-running front-of-shirt sponsorship in Premier League history.

The renewed deal covers three key areas:

  • Front-of-shirt sponsorship for men’s and women’s teams
  • Training kit branding
  • Stadium naming rights for the Emirates Stadium

According to reports, the agreement is worth around £430 million at its base. Annual fees are said to start at £65 million before rising to £75 million in later years. Performance-related bonuses could push the total even higher, potentially adding up to £15 million per season.

That’s a significant jump from the previous deal, which was valued at roughly £45–50 million a year.

Why This Deal Matters Now

Arsenal aren’t just riding a wave of nostalgia here. They’re negotiating from a position of genuine strength.

The club ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title last season. Mikel Arteta‘s side finished on 85 points, seven clear of Manchester City. It was a moment fans had dreamed about since the Invincibles era of 2003/04.

Off the pitch, the numbers have been just as impressive. Arsenal’s total revenue hit a record £691 million in 2024/25. Commercial income alone climbed to £263.2 million, driven by renewed partnerships with adidas, Sobha Realty, and Emirates themselves. And the 25/26 season the revenue is rumored to be in excess of £750 million.

So when it came time to renegotiate, Arsenal held serious leverage. And they used it — securing what amounts to a 30–50% increase on their previous terms.

Arsenal’s outgoing Chief Commercial Officer, Juliet Slot, reportedly agreed the extension as one of her final acts before leaving the club. She described the partnership as one of world sport’s most defining. She also pointed to two decades of shared ambition and trust as the foundation for moving forward.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, echoed that sentiment. He noted the two organisations have grown together through different eras and remained united by a shared purpose — connecting with fans across the globe.

Stability in a Shifting Market

What’s also interesting is what the deal doesn’t include. Despite the growing presence of cryptocurrency firms in football sponsorship, this renewal contains no blockchain elements. No tokens, no NFTs, no Web3 tie-ins.

Arsenal do have a separate crypto partnership with Bitpanda, announced in 2025. But they’ve kept that lane distinct from their flagship Emirates relationship. It’s a deliberate, measured approach in a market where some clubs have rushed into volatile territory.

The extension also provides long-term financial clarity. With the deal locked in until 2033, Arsenal can plan ahead with confidence — whether that’s investing in transfers, infrastructure, or the women’s team, which continues to compete at the top of the domestic and European game.

Can Emirates and Arsenal really stretch this to 27 years? Based on two decades of evidence, there’s little reason to doubt it.

For Arsenal supporters, it’s another sign that the club’s resurgence isn’t just happening on matchdays. It’s being built into the commercial fabric of the organisation. And in modern football, that kind of stability might just matter as much as any signing.
