Arsenal Will Outmuscle Liverpool in the Title Race: Chris Sutton Says

Arsenal are back on top, and Chris Sutton reckons they’re not moving anytime soon. The Gunners’ 2-0 win over West Ham fired them to the Premier League summit with 16 points from seven games, one clear of faltering Liverpool, who’ve just suffered back-to-back defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Now the big question: can Mikel Arteta’s men finally go all the way? Sutton certainly thinks so.
“Arsenal Look the Real Deal”
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, the former Premier League striker tipped Arsenal to overpower Liverpool in the title race, highlighting their strength in depth and defensive stability.
“I would be slightly concerned about the full-back areas and that central defensive zone, especially with Marc Guehi not coming in. I watched Arsenal today, and yes, it is West Ham, you can say that, but they cruised to victory.”
“Their bench is so, so strong. You look at Liverpool and you think Arsenal have the foundation at the back, the defensive strength, and that is exactly where Liverpool looks vulnerable. It is hard to see that changing, isn’t it?” he adds.
Sutton’s message is clear, Arsenal are built to last, Liverpool isn’t.
Arteta’s Reinforcements Paying Off
The difference this season? Arsenal’s smart summer signings. Arteta has turned last year’s heartbreak into motivation, adding experience and muscle across the squad. The Gunners now look battle-ready, powerful in defense, ruthless in attack, and deeper than ever.
The Pain That Fuels the Dream
Last season’s title slip-up still stings. A thin squad and injuries saw Arsenal crumble when it mattered most, handing Liverpool the crown. But this year, it feels different. Stronger. Smarter. Hungrier.
The Emirates is buzzing again, and belief is spreading fast.
Can the Gunners finally end their long wait for Premier League glory? Sutton thinks they can and as Arsenal fans that would be a dream come true.
