Arsenal Can Win the Quadruple: David Raya Makes Bold Claim
Arsenal’s No.1 David Raya has fired a huge warning to Europe, the Gunners are coming for everything.
Fresh off a ruthless 4–0 demolition of Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, the Spaniard believes Mikel Arteta’s side have the depth, desire, and dominance to win it all this season, from the Premier League to the Champions League.
“Yes, I think so. I think the depth of the squad is incredible,” Raya said confidently. “We have a lot of players that can play in two, three, four different positions. Like against Atletico, Mikel Merino came on as a striker and he can play as a No8, he can play as a No10.”
That adaptability, Raya insists, gives Arsenal the edge. Every player is fighting for their spot, and that’s driving the squad to terrifying new levels.
“If you’re not at it every day, you can lose your spot in a fraction of a second,” he added. “That competitiveness in training and games is really important, and everyone is on board.”
Arsenal’s performance against Atletico wasn’t just an attacking masterclass; it was another defensive statement. Raya picked up his ninth clean sheet of the season, and he’s not shy about how much that matters.
Raya adds that “Clean sheets are always important; I give them the same credit as goals. If we keep clean sheets, it makes games easier to win.”
For Raya, Arsenal’s strength lies in their collective hunger, from striker to goalkeeper, every player is defending with intensity.
“It’s a team effort,” he stressed. “Everyone wants to intercept that ball before it’s even halfway up the pitch. That’s how we win, by being relentless.”
And while fans have noticed Raya mixing in more long kicks this season, the keeper insists it’s all part of the plan.
“I don’t think I kick the ball that long,” he laughed. “It depends on the game and the time. If we’re winning, sometimes you just go long to kill the game.”
With Arsenal flying high at the top of the Premier League and unbeaten in Europe, Raya’s confidence sums up the mood in North London, this team isn’t just dreaming big, they believe they can make history.
